2014 Trek Clothing Requirements




GALS—

2 Mid-Calf Skirts
            Light-weight cotton fabric
Lighter colors, small prints
Mid-calf length
2 Full length sleeve shirts or Three-quarter length sleeve
            Pale colors reflect sun’s heat
            Light-weight cotton fabric
1 Bonnet Straw Hat or Garden hat required (You’ll bring sunscreen, too.)
            Light-weight cotton fabric
            Lighter colors, small prints
1 Pair Pantaloons (Cut-off scrubs, pajama shorts, bike shorts minus the padded diaper or compression shorts/underwear)
            For modesty
            To prevent chaffing
            Jeans are too warm
            Chamois cream i.e.Chamois Butt’r (If you know what this is, it’s great at preventing chaffing.)
1 Apron optional
            Objects in apron pockets bounce uncomfortably while hiking
            Aprons are about 6-12” shorter than skirts, but can vary
2 Pair “Broken-In” running or hiking shoes
            NOT brand-new
            The second pair is in case the first gets wet
4 Pair good quality socks i.e. Thorlo, Coolmax, Smart Wool, Drymax
            No holes
            No mends
            Bring moleskin for hot spots and blisters i.e. moleskin
1Possibles Bag for daily essentials like first aid, chap stick, water.  Karen Smith purchased supplies for these bags in bulk. 1 Bandana
              Your Stake will provide this.
1 Pair work gloves required

2 Long-sleeved button-up shirts
            Light colored fabric or plaid
            Tucked into pants
             
2 Pair Docker type pants
            Cotton
            Light colored fabric/tan
            Chamois cream i.e.Chamois Butt’r (If you know what this is, it’s great at preventing chaffing.)
2 Pair “Broken-In” running or hiking shoes
            NOT brand-new
            The second pair is in case the first gets wet
